VIC, NSW and WA bands will battle for whether a chicken parmigiana is a parmi or a parma in this mixed bill of local and interstate talent which will see prog, death and black metal at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢 this July. As part of a run of shows hallmarking their return, 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐧 will headline with their exciting new lineup bringing forth a new era for the progressive death/black metallers. Two Australian bands will debut their technical skills in Victoria for the very first time: Hot off the release of their 2024 LP 𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙩 and their 2025 EP 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 is 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮'𝘀 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐚 whose progressive post-black/death metal will not be limited by genre definitions, joined by the razor sharp technicality of 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀’ haunting melodic death metallers 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐃𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫, who themselves released their debut album 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙨𝙢𝙞𝙘 𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙙 in late 2024. Opening the evening of genre mash is riff driven post-black metallers 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞, their second show for 2025.

A perfect evening for the Melbourne scene to celebrate interstate bands debuting in Victoria and for the return of revered locals to the stage.
